The Jonathan Law girls track team met Guilford and Cheshire in a tri-meet last week.
Five individuals and the 4×800 relay team of Ciara Hayden, Kailee Frank, Colleen Rice and Bethany Edwards qualified for the state meet.
Individuals who qualified were Holly Stewart (100 hurdles), Kiki Smith and Tiffany Coleman (100 meter), Kelsey Kopazna (shot put) and Jessica Centore (long jump, 400 meters and high jump).
On Saturday at the Hammonasett Freshman Meet, the following received medals:
Olivia Steiner was first in the long jump (14-5) and second in the triple jump (27-0).
The 4×800 relay team of Rice, Ashley Boehm, Taylor Haase and Edwards placed fourth (11:20.9).
Edwards was third in the 1600 meters (5:54.9) and seventh in the 800 meters (2:47.9)
Boehm sixth in 3200 meters (15:49), Sage Russell was sixth in 100 hurdles (22.60) and Keala Hoff was second in the shot put (24-11).
Foran boys track
Foran defeated Lyman Hall of Wallingford, 108-35, and lost to Amity High, 110-40, in Woodbridge on Thursday.
Nik Griswold was first in the high jump (6-0), and placed second in the 110 high hurdles (17.12), the long jump (19-8) and the pole vault (12-0).
Pat Fitzgerald was first in the pole vault (12-0) for coach Rich Troy’s Lions.
Foran’s 4×800 relay team of Kevin Mastriano, Kevin Aiken, Matt Tylutki and Jerry Edmond took second with a time of 9:08.77.
Steve Cugini took second in the 1600 (4:42.51) and second in the 800 (2:08.01).
Dan Anderton was third in the 400 (55.19) and Haynes was third in the 200 (24.68).
Berkovich was second in the 200 (24.24) and third in the 100 (12.06).
Ben Ear was second (50.28) and Nicholas Dana was third (55.69) in the 300 high hurdles.
Anderton, Joe Buzelle, Dan Kruger and Tylutki were second in the 4×400 relay (3:58.74).
Tylutki, Jeremy Persichilli, Tyler Kennedy and John Doty were third (4:10.70) in the 4×400.
Jeffrey Morgan was third in the triple jump (35-06) and Dylan Sidenberg was third in the shot put (33-03.75).
Foran boys lacrosse
Alex Eager and Will Vitelli scored four goals each to lead coach Brian Adkins’ Lions to a 15-4 victory over Wilbur Cross of New Haven in the season opener for both teams on Thursday.
Zach White scored two goals and Drew Perani, Dave McLenithan, Paul Mirmina, Ryan Manning and Scott Breault also scoring goals.
Perani had five assists, White three, Eager two and Joe Bartone and McLenithan had one each.
Josh Teller had six saves and Gabe Scott 2.
Eager and Jonathan DePascale scored four goals each when Foran posted a 16-8 victory over Sheehan High from Wallingford on Monday.
Perani scored three goals and White and Mirmina had two goals each.
Vitelli and Breault scored one goal each.
Perani had three assists, Vitelli two and Dan Rivera, McLenithan, White, DePascale and Mirmina one apiece. Teller had three saves and Scott five.
Law boys lacrosse
Brady Dennigan scored three goals when Mike Forget’s Lawmen lost a 9-8 decision to Lyman Hall of Wallingford on Friday.
David Patrick and Tyler Cavallaro scored two goals each for the Lawmen. Dennigan had three assists, Austin Fratello two and Patrick one.
Law boys tennis
Law earned a 6-1 victory over Wilbur Cross of New Haven on Friday. Coach Jared Dye’s Lawmen won three-of-four singles matches and swept doubles play.
Singles: Bobby Phong (Law) defeated Angelica Rodriguez, 6-0, 6-0; Krishnan S. Kumar (Law) defeated Justin Santiago, 6-3, 6-2; Amar Almidani (Law) defeated Anthony Lapo, 6-3, 6-0 and Maryana Dumalska (Cross) defeated Aashu Patel, 6-1, 6-4.
Doubles: Soumya Kundu and Gabe Salles (Law) defeated Katia Mato and Eric Dejesus, 6-0, 6-0; Jacque Jalaf and Dhruvit Patel (Law) defeated David Kim and Carlos Flores, 6-0, 6-2 and Manir Almidani and Masrur Ahmed (Law) defeated Natalie Buckholz, 6-2, 4-6, (10-5 in the tiebreaker).

Foran lost to Sheehan of Wallingford, 5-2, on Friday.
Brad Orban at No. 1 singles and Kyle Lockwood at second singles posted wins for the Lions.

Jonathan Law defeated Career High of New Haven, 4-3, in Milford on Monday. Coach Christopher Kulenych’s Eagles are now 2-0 on the season.
