The Jonathan Law boys tennis team earned a 6-1 victory over Wilbur Cross of New Haven on Friday.
Coach Jared Dye’s Lawmen won three-of-four singles matches and swept doubles play.
Singles: Bobby Phong (Law) defeated Angelica Rodriguez, 6-0, 6-0; Krishnan S. Kumar (Law) defeated Justin Santiago, 6-3, 6-2; Amar Almidani (Law) defeated Anthony Lapo, 6-3, 6-0 and Maryana Dumalska (Cross) defeated Aashu Patel, 6-1, 6-4.
Doubles: Soumya Kundu and Gabe Salles (Law) defeated Katia Mato and Eric Dejesus, 6-0, 6-0; Jacque Jalaf and Dhruvit Patel (Law) defeated David Kim and Carlos Flores, 6-0, 6-2 and Manir Almidani and Masrur Ahmed (Law) defeated Natalie Buckholz, 6-2, 4-6, (10-5 in the tiebreaker).
