The children’s department at Milford Public Library, 57 New Haven Ave., is holding events the next few weeks. For information call: 203-783-3304.
Story time: Mondays and Tuesdays at 10 a.m. come to the library and enjoy stories, a craft and new friends. For ages 3 and up with a caregiver.
Mondays storytimes are provided in part by Great Beginnings Preschool.
Toddler Time: Wednesdays at 10 and 11 a.m. Fingerplays, songs and stories. For ages 2 and under with a caregiver.
Spring Vacation programs
Lego build-a-thon — Saturday April 12 at 2:30 p.m. and Monday, April 14 at 1 p.m. for ages 5 and up. The library will provide the Lego bricks, you provide the imagination. Creations cannot be taken home, but may be displayed in the library. Space is limited and registration is required. Patrons may register for one program only.
Game Day — Tuesday, April 15, 2 to 3:30 p.m. Board games, Jenga and family time together.
Creative Dramatics — “The Rain Puddle,” Wednesday, April 16, from 1 to 2 p.m. for ages 4-6 and from 2 to 3 p.m. for ages 7-10. Help bring this classic folktale to life. Coming across a puddle, Red Hen sees her reflection and assumes it is another hen that needs to be rescued. One by one she convinces the cow, sheep, pig, turkey, horse and others that their reflections are others who need help. Space is limited. Registration is required.
Frozen Sing-a-long — Thursday, April 17, 2 p.m. Come to the Library for a free showing of the popular movie with audience participation. Warm up your voices and help Anna, Elsa and Olaf sing in a race to save the kingdom.
Kids Book Club — Saturday, April 26, 2:30 p.m. for K-2 and 3rd and up. This month the club will share stories celebrating Earth Day and then make trash into treasure. This book club is suitable for all reading levels. Register in the Children’s Department.
