The Jonathan Law boys team placed 16th at the Southern Connecticut Conference cross country championships held at the 5K course at Hammonasset State Park in Madison on Oct. 22.
Amity of Woodbridge (46) repeated as SCC champs. Fairfield Prep (57) was followed by Guilford (105), Cheshire (115) and Shelton (140).
Matthew Zancewicz was 60th (18:17), Michael Lanzaro 88th (19:19), Jonathan Feher 90th (19:30) and Matt Paulus 94th (19:35). Dan Wasserman was 100th (19:49), Ryan Wasserman 107th (20:12) and Thomas Gambardella 114th (20:28).
The Law girls took 17th. Amity (82) won the title followed by Cheshire (104), Mercy of Middletown (108), Guilford (121) and Daniel Hand of Madison (122).
Lauren Paredes was 56th (22:42), Cassandra Soda 98th (24:34), Irmina Chrzastek 105th (25:34) and Samantha Franzman 107th (26:00). Chloe McCullough was 109th (27:00) and Emma Saley (110th (27:17).
