The Milford Hospital Volunteer Services Department will hold a New Volunteer Orientation Session on Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in Auditorium B.
Hospital staff will provide a description of current volunteer opportunities and the requirements for volunteering. In addition, hospital policies and procedures will be reviewed. This session is designed for adult volunteers (age 18 and over) only. All prospective volunteers are required to participate in this session prior to service.
Volunteers serve throughout Milford Hospital. Upon completion of an orientation session and a personal interview with the Volunteer Services staff, new volunteers are assigned a position based upon their skills, talents and interests and the needs of the hospital.
Currently, the greatest need is for early or mid-afternoon at the Information Desk or Gift Shop, and afternoon or evening in the Emergency Room and Walk-In Center on the Post Road.
