Frances ‘Fran’ Delia, a custodian in the building maintenance division within the Milford Public Works Department, was named Milford’s employee of the month for April.
After a review of all of the nominations, the Selection Committee unanimously chose her as the winner for her dedicated service and professionalism and for always exceeding expectations concerning her work performance, city officials said. Delia began her employment with the City of Milford as a custodian on June 13, 2005.
Delia’s job is to ensure the city buildings are kept neat, clean, free from clutter and safe. “Delia’s capacity as a custodian is first class,” city officials said in a press release. “Charged with the responsibility of maintaining various city buildings, Fran goes above and beyond executing her job responsibilities. Any building she maintains is treated as if it were her own home. When filling in for the city mail carrier, Fran performs the task with a cheerful and friendly demeanor.”
Her co-workers said Delia is a team player, “responsible and conscientious.”
