Lois M. Brunzell
Lois M. Brunzell, age 80, of Milford passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 3, 2014.
Born on November 22, 1934 in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Catherine Brunzell.
Lois graduated from Milford HS and SCSU, graduating with a degree in elementary and physical education. She later attained a sixth year degree from SCSU in Counseling and two Masters degrees from Fairfield University. Lois taught Physical Education for 35 years in Cromwell and Stratford, CT.
An excellent athlete, she participated in a variety of sports including softball and golf. She enjoyed traveling and musical performances. Lois was a communicant at Christ the Redeemer Church and an active member of the parish. Lois’ greatest love was her family.
She is survived by five sisters, Rita Ott (Bob), Hilma Nolan, Anne Fortunato, Kay Brotherton (Bill), Karla LaBella (Jim); her aunt Rita Garramone, 21 nieces and nephews and 34 great nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss her tremendously.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 8th at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the Redeemer Church, 325 Oronoque Rd., Milford, CT. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Milford. Friends and family may call on Sunday, December 7th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460.
