Irene Shepard, age 86, beloved wife of the late Francis Shepard, and proud resident of Milford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Milford Hospital.
Born in Dudley, Massachusetts on March 16th, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Ferdinand & Mary Dembenski Bernier.
Irene lived the majority of her life in Thompson and was an active member of the Polish American Veterans. She was a loving woman who loved shopping, going out to dinner, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Irene loved her time living in the Milford Community and will be truly missed by all who knew her.
Irene is survived by her two children, Robert Shepard (Marylee) and Susan Kelleher; grandchildren Scott and Carol Shepard, and Laura and Lisa Kelleher; two great grandchildren, Connor and Morgan Shepard; and Don and Anne White for their devotion and support while Irene lived in Thompson.
In addition to her loving husband, she is predeceased by her son-in-law, Christopher Kelleher.
Friends and family may call on Wednesday, August 14th from 4 to 7 pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford, CT 06460. Burial will be private.
