A 22-year-old man is being held by police on charges he killed his mother.
Orange police are investigating a murder that happened around 2 p.m. Thursday on Wild Rose Drive.
The reported incident happened at 130 Wild Rose Drive, a dead-end road off of Englewood Drive, which is off Route 152.
According to police, Timothy Granata was found unarmed near the home after the incident. His mother, Claudia Granata, 58, was identified as the victim.
Orange Police are being assisted in this investigation by the Connecticut State Police major crime squad.
Granata was held on a $2 million bond for court Friday.
“The Granata family has asked us to convey that they wish to thank everyone for rallying around them at this difficult and tragic time…” said Robert Gagne, chief of police.
