Milford defeats New Britain in 8U tourney

The Milford Blue Thunder out of the Junior Major League outscored New Britain by an average 5-2 runs per inning in a second-round 8U Beth-Wood Tournament and will next play Newtown at a time and date to be determined.
The defense was stifling led by third basemen Justin Gentallan and Cal Wrigley and first basemen Matthew Galligan, Luis Lozada and Jake Stash.
Offensively from top to bottom the lineup produced.
Gentallan, Wrigley, Galligan, Lozada and Stash all collected multiple hits, as did Declan Wywoda, William LeCuyer, Jack Thomas, Ryan Giambra, Matthew Stevens, Jackson Gryzwacz, Andre Peterson, Steven Witteman and Alex Rodriguez.
