Melissa Nelson bats .420 for Springfield College

Melissa Nelson out of Jonathan Law was recently named to the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference first team in softball.
The sophomore shortstop for Springfield College batted .420 with 44 hits in 31 games.
Nelson, the daughter of Thomas and Ellen Nelson, was also selected to the conference’s All-Academic team with a 4.0 grade point average.
