Stephen “Steve” Schneider, age 31, of Boynton Beach, FL and formerly of Milford, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2014 in Florida.
Born in New Haven on April 28, 1983, he was the son of Charles and Rosemary Starno Schneider.
A graduate of Jonathan Law Class of 2002, he was active in sports and was a lifeguard at the Milford public beaches and pools. Steve received an associate’s degree from Indian River State College in Fort Pierce, FL. He became a chef because of his love and passion for cooking.
Known for his sweet and generous nature, Steve will be remembered as easy going and likeable who was always there for family and friends to lend a helping hand and he will be deeply missed.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Amy Schneider of Milford, CT and Janet Klicsu and her husband Joseph of Monroe, CT; two cherished nieces, Phoebe and Sophia Klicsu; his maternal grandmother, Rose Starno of Hamden, CT; many other loving family members and his beloved companion and dog, Rasta.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 9th at 11:00 am at St. John Vianney, 300 Capt. Thomas Blvd., West Haven, CT., 06516. Burial will be private. Friends and family may call on Sunday, June 8th from 2 to 5 pm at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460.
