Elsie Wilson, age 88, of Wallingford and formerly of Milford and beloved wife to Alton Wilson and the late William Turner, passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 6, 2014 at Masonicare in Wallingford.
Born in Bridgeport, CT, she was the daughter of the late George and Theresa Beitner.
During her life Elsie was a dedicated member of the Women’s Fellowship at the First United Church of Christ and of the Milford Senior Citizens Singing Group and was a former volunteer at Milford Hospital.
In addition to her husband Alton, she is survived by her daughter Diane Gaydos and her husband John; daughter-in-law, Carole Turner; grandchildren, Rebecca Wittala and her husband Geoffrey and Eric Turner and his wife Heather; great grandchildren, Kaylie, Andrew, Kaden and Liam and her brother George Beitner; Alton’s children, Barbara Wilson and husband Tim Napier, Sarah Murcko and her husband Steve and their families including Scott’s son and many loving nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
Elsie was predeceased by her son, William Turner, Jr., sister Pearl Roach and Alton’s son Scott Wilson.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 12th at 10:30 am at the First United Church of Christ Congregational, 34 W. Main St., Milford, CT 06460. Interment to follow at King’s Highway Cemetery. Friends and family may call on Sunday, May 11th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Cody -White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460.
