Stanley Dean Perkins (“Stan”) age 57, of Hamden, formerly of Milford, entered into eternal peace on Saturday, May 3, 2014.
Stanley was born in Stamford on April 21, 1957 to the late Stanley Maxwell and Mary Ellison Perkins.
He lived in Milford during his formative years and graduated from Jonathan Law High School in 1975. He was currently employed by Goodwill,Direct Marketing Distribution, and CMT Enterprises. He was also owner of Soda Ace.
Stan was a talented musician and an equally talented singer. He played the trumpet in several community and concert bands. He blended his smooth, easy tenor with the voices of several choral groups and church choirs. He had an eclectic taste in music.
Stan was a firm believer in God and country. Stan had an outgoing personality, a warm smile, sparkling blue eyes, was witty and had a hearty laugh. He was an avid poker player,and took pleasure in cross-country skiing, wearing a cowboy hat and boots and watching classic westerns.
Stan was predeceased by his nephew, Chip Hatcher.
Left to cherish his memory, and all residing in Milford, are his dear sister Mary Kuruc and her husband Gene; his beloved longtime companion, Ramona Prokoski; his nephew Chris Kuruc and his wife Shannon; and his grandnephews, Nick and Kyle Hatcher. He is also missed by Ramona’s three affectionate cats.
Friends and family may call on Monday, May 12 from 4:00PM-7:00PM in The Gregory F Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at 9:00AM Directly in St Mary Church, 70 Gulf Street, Milford.
