Ride for Hope Committee members Mike Kozlowski, left, and Ann Fabian, second from right, get ready to ride in the third annual Ride for Hope.
Three local organizations joined forces on Sunday, June 9, for the third annual Ride for Hope, a charity motorcycle ride to Woodbury and back.
Riders left the Woodruff Family YMCA on a sunny morning and returned 72 miles later for lunch provided by Outback Steakhouse, music, raffles and more.
Proceeds benefit the Rape Crisis Center of Milford, the Milford Prevention Council, and the United Way of Milford.
“It was a great ride thanks to the support of the Milford Police Department and the Connecticut Leathernecks who kept the ride moving safely and smoothly,” said Ray Vitali, chair of the event, who joined the riders. “I think everyone who turned out had a great time.”
Ann Fabian, Executive Director of the Rape Crisis Center, added, “These three organizations have a great time working together. We’d like to thank everyone who came out to support us, as well as our terrific sponsors.”
Sponsors for the Ride for Hope include The Milford Bank, the Woodruff YMCA, Montano Coffee and Candy, Tri City Appliance, and Outback Steakhouse. More information and pictures from the event can be found at rideforhope.org.
