The Milford Arts Council is gearing up for an exhibit called “Split Screens.”
A split screen is defined as two or more separate images displayed along side one another. This is often seen in film and television.
“Split Screen” in two- or three-dimensional art, is open to interpretation by the artist. Interpretations can be literal or figurative.
This is a juried show. One or two pieces will be accepted per artist. The fee is $25 for one piece, $35 for two pieces. Art Council members receive $5 off the total fee. Anyone may join the Milford Arts Council at registration, or download a form off the website; single membership is $25, family is $50.
Only original artwork will be accepted.
Photography is welcome but will be juried separately.
Two- and three-dimensional work is welcome, but must not exceed 24”X36” (including framing) and there is a 50-pound limit.
All work must be submitted wired and framed, ready to hang. Or in the case of sculpture, otherwise ready for display, with a table or stand provided.
All works must be for sale, and 30% commission on sales will go to the art council.
