Woods
Milford police arrested two men in connection with a Nov. 2, 2015 shooting incident at the Howard Johnson Hotel located at 1052 Boston Post Rd., Milford.
The two men, Hassan Woods, 26, of New Haven and Taevon Alston, 27, of Bridgeport were both taken into custody on Jan. 12 and are suspected of shooting a man in the buttocks during a robbery that took place in a hotel room the men were sharing.
The FBI task force, Statewide Narcotics Task Force and the Milford Police Department were able to secure arrest warrants for Woods and Alston after a joint investigation.
Woods is charged with first-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment, first-degree robbery, criminal possession of a pistol, unlawful discharge of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit, third-degree larceny, disorderly conduct, and associated conspiracy offenses.
Alston
Bond was set at $250,000 and Woods was transported to court on Jan. 12.
Alston is charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree larceny, third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and related conspiracy charges.
Bond for Alston was set at $150,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 2.
