Jewelry, money and a safe containing guns were reportedly stolen from a West Rutland Road home during a burglary Thursday, Dec. 3.
Police said the burglary took place between 6:25 p.m. and 8:54 p.m. Entry was gained by prying open a rear door deadbolt using a pry tool. The suspects ransacked the master bedroom, taking numerous pieces of jewelry, Italian gold, mint coin sets from the 1960s, silver certificate currency, and a Sentry fire safe that contained two handguns, a .38 revolver and a .25 semi-automatic, according to a police report.
