The Annual Lamplight Stroll, which draws people downtown during the holiday season for shopping and entertainment, will be Friday, Dec. 4, from 5:30 – 9 p.m.

In its 14th year, the shopping event is sponsored by the Downtown Milford Business Association. It spotlights Downtown Milford’s shops, spas, salons and restaurants, which offer refreshments, holiday cheer and holiday shopping.

“Visitors of all ages return year after year to enjoy this family-friendly annual event that couples lively traditional holiday activities with a festive and friendly experience,” organizers said.

Shoppers may stroll from shop to shop during the Lamplight Stroll and find holiday-themed entertainment along the way, from roving carolers courtesy of the United Church of Christ (Congregational), to the Cornerstone Christian Center Choir in front of Milford Photo, to free old-fashioned horse-drawn rides.

Foran High School’s Advanced Vocal Ensemble will perform at 6:45 p.m. at the corner of Broad Street and Harbor Walk. A special highlight will be the ‘Holiday Central’ location at the First United Church of Christ (Congregational), 34 West Main Street, featuring refreshments, selfies with ‘Santa,’ and other entertainment.

Holiday passports, which are part of the annual holiday event, may be picked up at any of the following Lamplight Stroll participating business locations:

American Cancer Society/Relay for Life Milford (night of event only in front of Chamber building on Broad Street); Cloud 9 Day Spa, Duck Duck Goose, Eli’s Tavern, First Church of Christ, Fresh Salon, Gilded Lily Gallery, MakeUp MakeUp, Milford Library, Hair by Camille, Haircraft, Milford Photo, ParkLane Deli & Grille, Sophie Claire’s, Stonebridge Restaurant, Sweet Cupcasions, The Canvas Patch, The Lovet Shop, Village Vogue Boutique, Vincent Jewelers, Tranquility Mind & Body Wellness Spa, and Whispers from Lady Olga.

Holiday passport holders will receive special discounts and offers throughout the month. Those who get their passports stamped at all locations may enter a drawing for a chance to win a holiday gift basket containing gift certificates worth hundreds of dollars. In addition, the first 100 to turn in a completed stamped passport will receive a commemorative holiday ornament, handmade by DMBA member MJKS Woodworking.
