Keeping Milford Warm will hold its annual holiday benefit dinner this year at Grassy Hill Country Club in Orange on Saturday, Dec. 12, which also is the same day the City of Milford will proclaim Keeping Milford Warm Day, according to organization founder Kevin McGrath.

The event will be sponsored by a number of Milford businesses and individuals, along with a group of corporate sponsors such as the Milford Kiwanis Club, The Milford Bank, Hurwitz, Sagarin, Slossberg & Knuff, Tutino Financial and The Original Toy Company.

In three years since Keeping Milford Warm was founded, the organization is now making sure that Milford individuals and families never run out of heating oil or gas.

Executive Director Erin McGrath said the organization has tripled the number of individuals and families they are helping with assistance from the City of Milford and the Milford Family Resource Center under the direction of Peggy Kelly.

The volunteers under the leadership of Erin McGrath are on a mission to protect those friends and neighbors in Milford who are in need of assistance from the community.

“No Milford resident should find it difficult to either put food on the table or heat their home,” McGrath said.

Keeping Milford Warm uses 100% of all funds raised or donated for fuel assistance to help residents. There are no administrative costs, group members said.
