Cassie Zak scored a goal in the second half and the Foran High girls soccer team posted a 1-0 victory over visiting Hamden on Wednesday.
Zak’s unassisted tally gave coach Casey Blake’s Lions a 2-0 record. Hamden is 0-2.
Maddie Mitchell had nine saves for Foran, Gabriella Panayotakis eight for Hamden.
