In efforts to increase recycling in Milford, Mayor Benjamin Blake has announced the formation of a Recycling Task Force.

The Task Force will survey the current recycling landscape, educate residents on current recycling practices and produce innovative recommendations for the city’s future. The task force will also dedicate time to supporting residents, schools and businesses in their efforts to reduce, reuse and recycle.

Environmental sustainability is a significant component of ensuring future success for the City of Milford, city officials said in a press release announcing the new task force.

The mayor invites all residents interested in joining the Recycling Task Force to attend the first meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 16, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Board of Education meeting room in the Parson’s Government Center.

Contact Julie Nash, Director of Economic and Community Development, through email at jnash@ci.milford.ct.us or by phone at 203-783-3230 with any questions.
