Competing in a post-season meet for the first time, sophomore Jason Bindner out of Jonathan Law of Eastern Connecticut State University attained All-New England status in the long jump at the 2015 New England Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships this weekend, hosted by MIT at the Henry G. Steinbrenner Track.
Bindner was first in his flight with a personal-record mark of 21-10 (6.67m), which was good enough to place him eighth in an overall field of 25.
Bindner broke 20 feet for the third straight week. He was coming off a fourth-place finish last Saturday at the Little East Conference Championships, when he jumped 21-6.
Sophomore Lauren Polansky out of Foran High placed 30th in the hammer (120-8/36.78m).
