Children’s Department

The children’s department at Milford Public Library, 57 New Haven Ave., is holding events the next few weeks. For information call: 203-783-3304.

Preschool story time — Mondays and Tuesdays at 10 a.m. Stories and a craft. For ages 3 and up with a caregiver.                             

Toddler time   Every Wednesday at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. For ages 2 and under with a caregiver.

Paws to read: Saturday, Feb. 28 at 2:30 p.m. For children in grades K-5.  Kids are invited to read out loud to therapy dogs.

Dixon Street

The Woodmont Library, 16 Dixon Street, is open Thursday: 10 a.m. to noon and 6:30 to 9 p.m.; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4 p.m. Call 203-874-5675.

Book group: The group meets the first Thursday monthly at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome. For more information call 203-874-5657. The Morning Book Discussion Group will meet Thursday March 5th, 10:30 a.m. at the Ellen Aftamonow Woodmont Library, 16 Dixon St., Milford.

The book for March is, “The Storied Life of A. J. Fikery,” by Gabrielle Zevin.  The book for April is, “The Apple Tree Yard,” by Louise Doughty.
