Jane Stuart Fowler
Jane Stuart Fowler, 94, of Milford, beloved wife of the late George Nathan Fowler, passed away peacefully at Milford Hospital, with her loving family by her side, Jan 29, 2015.
A decendent of one of the large founding families of Milford, she was born on Aug 21, 1920 to the late Henry J. and Helen Shanley Stuart in Derby CT.
She was a Milford resident most of her life. She graduated from Lauralton Hall in Milford, and was a homemaker and a secretary at the Henry Stuart Co. until her retirement. She was the epitome of caregiver to her entire family.
She is survived by daughters, Jill DeEll, Diane Riso (Tom), Lisa Tierney (Jim), Marta Stanton (Bob). She was very proud of her eleven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren, and cherished her time with them.
Jane was predeceased by sisters, Margaret Boynton, Elizabeth Maher, Martha Stuart, Louise Smith, Ann Pepe and brother Henry J. Stuart, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 3rd at 10:30 am at St. Mary Church, 70 Gulf St., Milford, CT 06460. Burial to follow at St. Mary Cemetery. There will be a gathering of friends and celebration of life on Monday, February 2nd from 4 to 7 pm at Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT. 06460.
