Mary M. (Molly) Skudlarek
Mary M. (Molly) Skudlarek, age 93, beloved wife of the late Stephen J. Skudlarek, Sr. for 66 years, died on Thursday, January 29.
Mrs. Skudlarek was born in Bridgeport on May 2, 1921 to the late John and Edith Slaney Maguire.
She was raised in Milford and graduated from Milford High School. Mrs. Skudlarek worked for over 20 years as a secretary for the Milford Board of Education.
She was a longtime parishioner of Saint Ann Church and was a member of the Saint Ann 50+ Club and of the Saint Ann’s Ladies Guild. Mrs. Skudlarek was also a member of the Tatta Dancers and was very active in the Milford Senior Center.
Survivors include her children: Stephen (Jack) J. Skudlarek Jr. (Pamela) of Milford and Patricia S. LaZette (Russell Avery) of Shelton, one grandson, Stephen John Skudlarek III, four sisters; Rose Dalton of Danielson, CT, Ann Warner of Texas, Margaret Farnam of Milford and Dorothy Grady of Milford, several nieces and nephews and a host of good friends.
Mrs. Skudlarek is predeceased by her brother John J. Magire and sisters; Edith Goneconto, Ellen Maguire, Catherine (Kitty) Paul and Virginia Taurick.
Friends and family are invited to greet the family on Saturday, January 31st from 10:00AM-11:00AM in The Gregory F Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford. A service will be held in the funeral home at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Saint Mary Cemetery, Milford.
