John Hoydic

John Hoydic, age 94, of Milford, beloved husband of the late Sophie Kudej Hoydic, died on Tuesday, November 4.

John was born in Erie, PA on November 26, 1919 to the late Stephen and Barbara Hoydic.

John proudly served his country in WWII in the US Army and later worked as a service advisor at Fruitrich Cadillac for many years. He lived in Trumbull, CT for over 50 years until moving to Milford eight years ago to be cared for by his loving son.

John loved to golf and was a wonderful bowler. His friends and family will never forget how John always made them smile with his witty one-liners.

Survivors include his children; James (Maria) Hoydic of Milford and Janis (Jack) Kvancz of VA, six grandchildren; Christel (Jenny) Hoydic, Amberlie Hoydic, Tiffany (Ken) Kopchak, Scott (Emily) Kvancz, Wendy (Robert) Reyburn, Courtney Kvancz, one sister, Beatrice Balakier of Stratford and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Hoydic is predeceased by a brother, Stephen Hoydic and by four sisters; Midge Halky, Mary Bike, Irene Jergans and Helen Shevlin.

Friends and family may call on Friday, November 7th from 9:00AM-10:30AM in The Gregory F Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM in Saint Ann Church, 501 Naugatuck Avenue, Milford following the visitation. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Easton with full military honors.
