Shoplifting
Milford police arrested Melinda Jackson, 35, of New Haven on Oct. 29 after they received a complaint regarding a shoplifting that occurred at Macy’s.
Police accuse Jackson of taking $558.23 worth of merchandise from the store without paying for it. Police say Jackson damaged some of the merchandise while removing the anti-theft security devices from it.
She is charged with fifth-degree larceny, third-degree criminal mischief and possession of a shoplifting device.
Jackson was released on a promise to appear in court on Nov. 25.
Failure to appear
Milford police took custody of Natalie Doran, 31, of Milford on Oct. 29 regarding an outstanding warrant for her arrest. Doran is accused of failing to appear in court on Oct. 17 for charges stemming from a breach of peace arrest on Oct. 15.
Doran is charged with second-degree failure to appear in court.
Bond was set at $25,000 for court on Nov. 25.
DUI
Milford police issued an arrest warrant for Adam Choromanski, 24, of Milford on Oct. 30 after they concluded an investigation into a May 3 complaint of a motor vehicle striking a parked vehicle near the intersection of Bridgeport Avenue and Naugatuck Avenue.
Police say they discovered evidence regarding narcotics usage inside the vehicle. Further investigation led to an arrest warrant being issued for Choromanski, who is accused of operating the vehicle while under the influence of a narcotic.
Choromanski is charged with DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a motor vehicle while under suspension.
Bond was set at $1,000 for court on Nov. 25.
