Anna S Costello, 82 of Stratford, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2013 surrounded by her family.

Born in Bridgeport on November 23, 1930; daughter of the late Frank and Susie (Goffa) Suchara.

Anna leaves behind her devoted husband of 59 years, Clifford Costello. She was the loving mother to Suzanne Dinan and her husband William of Monroe; Janet Costello of Stratford and Clifford “Kippy” Costello of Stuart, FL. In addition to her children, her adored grandchildren, Alisha Speanburg and her husband Carl of Seymour; Rachel Dinan of Lexington, KY and grandson Christopher DInan of Bridgeport; great-grandson Jacob Speanburg; a brother Frank Suchara of Milford and sisters Margaret Rohlman of Stratford and Pauline Vargoshe and her husband Steve of Bethany and many greatly loved nieces and nephews.

She shall be reunited above with her beloved grandson Freddie Costello and older sisters Helen Mastroni and Mary Slee.

Anna worked for 10 years at the Warner Brothers Company. The matriarch of her family, she will be greatly missed. She was a very hard worker putting in 10 years at the Warner Brothers Clothing store, a caretaker to all and a great neighbor.

Anna will be remembered for her devotion to family, outspoken nature that keep her family in line with admiration and love, making them laugh with her sarcastically unique humor, and how everything she cooked was the greatest thing ever eaten. She was generous and loving in her own way and helped raise her grandchildren who she would say she loved more than anything in the whole wide world.

A special thank you is extended to all her caregivers and doctors.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, August 15th at 9:15am in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10:00 in the Carpatho Russian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist Mill Hill Avenue Bridgeport for a Requiem Funeral Service. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery Stratford. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. Panachida will be at 4:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks to donate blood in honor of Anna.
