James “Jimmy” Murray, 69, of Milford, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2014 at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Jimmy was born on October 13, 1944 in Derby, CT and was the son of the late James F. and Carmelina Eletto Murray.
For 43 years until his retirement Jimmy was a lineman for the United Illuminating Company.
He enjoyed spending his time at the beach or taking trips to NYC and Boston. Jimmy enjoyed doo-wop music, dancing and trains but more than anything he will be remembered for his ability to always make people laugh.
He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Jimmy is survived by his two sisters Elizabeth Murray Williston and her husband Everett of Milford and Mary Williams Mitchell and her husband Ronald of Derby; two nieces Dana Williston Carney and her husband James and Molly Elizabeth Mitchell, two nephews Sean and Jason Williston, his great nephew Patrick Carney; as well as his two “sisters” Michele Loso and Pamela Williston, his beloved pets Murrie and Shadow and many other loving family members.
A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held on Tuesdays, July 22, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm, Deacon Sennett officiating, at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460. Committal will be private.
