Milford police arrested John Simko, 18, of Milford on a variety of charges after they received a complaint regarding a person breaking into a parked vehicle on Windsong Lane on July 6.
Investigation led to the arrest of Simko who is accused of entering a vehicle and taking property from it. Simko allegedly assaulted the owner of the vehicle who police say detained Simko until they arrived.
Police received a second complaint of a vehicle being broken into on Bertrose Avenue which Simko was also charged for. Police say they found Simko in possession of marijuana during his arrest.
Simko is charged with two counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of sixth-degree larceny, third-degree assault, second-degree breach of peace, interfering with police and possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana.
Bond was set at $2,600 for court on July 29.
