Emma Rose Francoletti McDonough, age 90, a longtime resident of both Bridgeport and Milford, died on June 26, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Coleman E. McDonough.
Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on October 27, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Barnabino and Quinta Bonvini Francoletti.
She had a flair for fashion and loved things of beauty. Most of all, she loved her family and enjoyed spending time gathered around the dining room table with them. Emma was an employee of the Bonvini Dental Lab until her retirement.
She is fondly remembered by her daughters, Patricia Bodnar and her husband Paul of Oxford and Colleen Otzel and her husband Paul of Milford. She is also remembered by her grandchildren, Marisa Roinestad and her husband Brian of Alexandria, Virginia, Nicole Hughes and her husband Jack of Bethel, Daniel Otzel of Milford, and Richard Otzel of West Palm Beach, Florida. Emma leaves behind one great-grandchild, John Coleman Roinestad. She is also survived by her siblings and their spouses, Irma Ceccorulli, Lindo Francoletti, Gina Poole and her husband Robert, and Mary Roberto and her husband Ernest.
The family would like to thank the staff at Carriage Green for their kindness and professionalism while Emma was in their care, and Life Choice Hospice for their care and support at the end of her journey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 28th at 10:30 am at St. Mary Church, 70 Gulf St., Milford, CT 06460. Emtombment will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford. Family and friends may call on Friday (TODAY), June 27th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Devon Rotary Foundation to provide a scholarship in fashion design in Emma’s name.
