Dale B. Haberman, 86, of Milford, beloved husband of Celyne T. Haberman passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 19, 2014.
Dale was born on March 19, 1928 in McKeesport, PA to the late Howard and Alberta Haberman.
He was a graduate of McKeesport Vocational High School and worked in the McKeesport steel industry as a young man. For the last fifty years he and his family have lived in Milford, CT.
Dale retired as a CT Emissions Testing Center Manager; was a former member and Past President of the Milford Civitan Club and was a devoted member of St. Gabriel’s Church.
He and wife enjoyed traveling to several religious sites across Europe. Dale took pleasure in spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also liked the computer and capturing memories on his video camera.
In addition to his wife, Celyne of 66 years Dale is survived by; his sons William Haberman and his wife Marylee, Howard Haberman and his wife Barbara and Robert Haberman and his wife Gail; daughter, Marianne Van Etten; granddaughters, Amy Haberman Gomez, Martha Haberman, Megan Haberman, Samantha Haberman, and Stephanie Haberman and by three great-grandchildren; Benjamin, Nathaniel and Evelyn Gomez.
He is predeceased by brother, Glenn Haberman and sister, Jane Morris.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 26th at 10:30 a.m. St. Gabriel’s Church, 26 Broadway, Milford, CT with the burial immediately following at Saint Mary Cemetery. Friends and family may call on Wednesday, June 25th from 5-8 p.m. at Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street Milford, CT.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Dale’s name to the Jewish Senior Center, 175 Jefferson St, Fairfield, CT 06825.
