The 18th-seeded Foran High softball team went on the road to defeat 15th-seeded Joel Barlow, 6-0, in its Class L first round state tournament game on Monday.
Jessica Harkness no-hit the Falcons (12-9) and struck out 18 batters. Fallon Bevino had three hits and three RBIs for the Lions (12-10).
Foran took on No. 2 Torrington High on June 3. With a win it will play either No. 7 Rockville (16-4) or No. 10 Berlin High (16-5) in the quarterfinals on Thursday, June 5.
